Hike #1307 up Mt. LeConte with Ed Wright

I hiked up Mt. LeConte with Bob Wright and his father, Ed Wright, in September 1982.  Who could have guessed then that Ed would go on to become the Zen Master of this trail!   Now 25 years later, I once again hiked the Alum Cave Bluff trail with my friend Bob, his (now celebrity) father, Ed Wright, and a small (but enthusiastic!) group of friends.

Since my last hike with Ed, I've been aflicted with the birding disease.   Below are a few of the birds we saw during our hike.
The Canada Warbler and Black-throated Blue Warbler were lifetime firsts for me!
