This route is used on both weeknights and weekends for training
by the race group because of the good roads, low traffic, and decent distances to be had.
The island is very flat (although some folks are taking advantage of the Main Road bridge
to get some hill work) and offers distances up to about 50 miles. There aren't many
opportunities for restrooms or refreshment on the island so you may want to take advantage of
the facilities at Food Lion, at the convenience store near the bridge on Main Road, or at Kiawah.
